# Owndy

> Owndy is a home inventory app built exclusively for iPhone. Know what you own, anywhere. Just snap the tag of anything new, and Owndy adds it for you: item name, brand, model, serial number and a product photo. No forms or fields to fill in. Then find anything about an item in seconds, wherever you are, even offline.

Owndy is for people who own a lot of gear, gadgets, appliances and clothes, often purchased online or abroad, and need a detail when the thing isn't in front of them: a child's shoe size in a shop, a receipt for a warranty claim, which camera lenses they already own, an old phone's exact model when selling it, or what's packed in the winter storage boxes.

## Main features

- **Snap the tags. Owndy does the rest.** (Add items in seconds) Snap each item's tag, up to 5 at a time. No tag? Snap the item. No forms or fields to fill in: Owndy adds the item name, brand, model and a product photo.
- **Every detail at hand.** (Item details, anywhere) Item sizes, models, serial numbers and receipts, ready anywhere, even offline. Find anything in seconds with search, filters and saved lists.
- **One receipt, any currency.** (Receipts and currencies) Add a receipt and Owndy fills in the date, price and shop. Link it to everything purchased with it, and prices convert to your currency at the rate on the purchase date.
- **Your AI assistant knows your stuff.** (Works with AI assistants) Connect Claude, Grok or another AI assistant, then ask what you own or add items in a chat. You choose what it may change, and every change is noted on the item. - **Lists that sort themselves.** (Browse and saved lists) Browse your items by category with one tap. Save any search or filter as a list, like Ski Gear or Camera Gear. New items join the right list on their own.
- **Never miss a warranty.** (Timely warranty reminders) Get a reminder before a warranty runs out, at the time you choose. See at a glance which warranties are active, expiring soon or expired.
- **Add-ons that grow with you.** (Optional add-ons) Turn on only what you need, starting with Wardrobe to mix and match the clothes you own. New add-ons join the list over time.

Also: iPhone Duo support (open, the list and the item sit side by side, and so do the outfit and the pieces in Wardrobe), Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight (find items in iPhone's search), a Home Screen quick action, adding straight from Photos, Belongs To for family members' things, labels, comments, Face ID lock with iPhone's own app lock, import from a spreadsheet (CSV, with photos and receipts), export all data or a single list any time.

## Privacy

Built exclusively for iPhone. Fast, works offline, and private: no ads, no tracking.

- No ads, no tracking, no analytics; information is never sold.
- Never used to train AI.
- Data is kept on the iPhone (works offline) and with Owndy's hosting provider in Singapore, encrypted in transit and at rest. A new iPhone picks up where the old one left off.
- Scanning is optional and asks first. The iPhone reads text and barcodes, then sends that text and a small copy of the photo to Anthropic's Claude AI to read the item's details; Owndy then adds the item (it can be edited or deleted). A receipt added to an item is read the same way to fill in its purchase details.
- Connecting an AI assistant is optional. The person approves it in the app; it can only reach that person's own items, can never delete anything, and every change it makes is noted on the item. What it sees goes to the assistant's own provider, under that provider's terms.
- Accounts can be deleted any time in the app; backup copies expire within 30 days.

## Compared with a spreadsheet or other inventory apps

- Adding items: snap the tag (or the item itself when there's no tag) and the item is added, instead of typed in by hand.
- Receipts: add a receipt and the date, price and shop are filled in; one receipt is linked to every item on it, instead of a separate folder or one receipt per item.
- Finding things: search, filters and saved lists, instead of scrolling or folders and rooms.
- Purchased abroad: converted at the rate on the purchase date, instead of rates looked up by hand.
- Moving in: import an existing spreadsheet, photos and receipts included.

## Price and requirements

- Free to download. On the Launch plan you can keep up to 250 items and 250 MB of photos and files, and Scan to Add and Find Photo Online come with a monthly allowance. Paid plans are coming, sold through the App Store.
- iPhone with iOS 26 or later; sign in with Apple.
